This is my first experience with catering from here. My daughter and her husband used them for my granddaughters 1st birthday party. The food was outstanding! The portions were generous. The food arrived hot with all the sauces and dressings that we needed in good amounts. The calamari was delicious. By the time we had the entrees, we were so full! Going to the restaurant is a pleasant experience. The wait staff is phenomenal. My favorite part of the dinner was the salad with the nuts and apples, paired with the signiature dressing. A beautiful dinner for a little princess that we adore. Thank you for making our night memorable!
Viron Rondo Osteria is one of our favorite restaurants. For the second year in a row, we had our company party there. The food came out on time, the portions were large, delicious, and everyone was able to take some food home. The owner came out at the end to make sure everything went smoothly. Always an A+ !
I have been coming here for years, they are absolutely amazing! Tonight, I went to a private event for a birthday dinner and the service and food was perfect! We couldn't ask for a better place! I couldn't recommend this place higher for just dinner or even a private event!!!
Had a lovely dinner at Viron Rondo. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the service is impeccable. It was a bus night and from what I understand most nights are. We had the calamari which was just ok and lacked flavor. For an entree I had the salmon with green beans and fingerling potatoes. It was so flavorful and healthily. Dessert- lemon cake that could have been split between 4 people!!! So delicious and moist!
Wonderful spot in Cheshire CT. Beautiful restaurant with both indoor and a big patio to enjoy. Food was great we ordered a burrata and between three of us we couldn't finish it was very big. My penne alla vodka was huge portion as well. Service was attentive at first and then it took him a bit to get back to us when time for the bill. He also split our items wrong.
My first visit and I can't wait to return. Reservations: highly recommended. We made reservations for 8:30 pm and were seated by 9 pm. Without reservations we may have been unable to be seated on the patio as a well known band was playing. Staff: Everyone was attentive and ensured a fine dining experience to customers. Venue: this place is stunning inside and out. I wish there was a little more dance space outside. But there were warming lamps and it was still comfortable outside on an October evening. Food and drinks: the artisan pizza was delicious. Drinks were delicious. I ordered the same drink twice and once it was $14 and once $16. Dinner rolls were just ok. Vibe: the vibe is what gives it the 5 stars for me. Everyone was nicely dressed to listen to good music, all ages were having an amazing night.
My first restaurant in this area and it was a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful! I love that there's so much space inside and outside. We were a group of 7, and we decided to sit outside. It was a beautiful night. Our server was great. We were thankful that even tho some people were late, she was still very kind and patient. We started with a small Charcuterie board. It is a great size. Enough for the table to pick at and still some. It was tasty. The only thing I would have liked was more bread. There were only 2 toasties, and I wasn't one of those who got one. lol, there's so much meat and just not enough bread, in my opinion. I ordered the House made ricotta for an app. It was delicious! That was served with 8 pieces of toasties, which was nice because everyone was able to try this amazing starter. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Marsala - boneless chicken breast, garlic mashed potatoes, baby spinach, w/ Marsala-mushroom jus. It was good. The only thing I would have liked was more flavor in the chicken. It was a bit bland. Even salt and pepper go a long way, lol. The potatoes were yummy! I did enjoy my meal. We had such a great time. It was a successful bestie birthday dinner. I would definitely return.
"Been 14 days since I don't know when I just saw her with my best friend Do you know what I mean?) (Lee Michaels)" What do the words "Viron Rondo Osteria", mean and why were they chosen as the name for this sweet restaurant? I'm not sure. Their website doesn't address the issue, so I tried to sleuth out the meaning. Here's the results of my detective work: The word "Viron" refers to a virus particle. "Rondò" is some sort of an operatic vocal solo. An "Osteria" is a wine bar that serves simple meals. Not exactly a definitive answer, agreed? Well, what was definitive was today's very positive experience where three of us enjoyed a leisurely lunch on their beautiful outdoor patio on a gorgeous summer day. We started off with some complimentary dinner rolls and olive oil, as we gazed upon their broad lunch menu, We went in 3 different directions on the menu. The first was from their pasta section - Orecchiette e Salsiccia ($19) for pasta with sweet Italian sausage, broccoli rabe, cannellini beans, garlic and olive oil. The second was from the Pizza section - a Parma Pizza ($18) with fresh Mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Parmigiano Reggiano, and marinara. The third was from the Antipasti section - a VR Hummus Plate ($22) with Pita bread wedges, an arugula salad, and four dips/spreads -Tzatziki, a salmon spread, hummus, and an eggplant caponata. The Antipasto plate was huge, and it may have been the best bargain on the menu at just $22. It had a generous portion of pita wedges, and I enjoyed the taste of the four spreads. The Tzatziki had an unexpected kick to it - must have been a hidden sprinkling of chili oil in there. I enjoyed it and the eggplant the most. The pizza was great! Very thin New Haven style crust with a nice balance of cheese, sauce, and salty lean prosciutto. We really liked everything about Viron Rondo. Our server was helpful and professional and checked back on us a few times. Five stars for great food, and classy professionalism at every turn.
